These megalithic sites in the Gulf of Morbihan have now been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since August 2025.
Unique due to its island location, the Gavrinis cairn is renowned worldwide for the abundance and finesse of its ornamentation. Known as the "Sistine Chapel of the Neolithic," this prehistoric gem is entirely covered with engravings of axes, boats, arrows, bows... symbols of the Neolithic period and our origins.
